Finding a product to sell

Finding Your Product - by Howies Apprentice 3

Finding products to promote is easier than it looks. You only need to pay attention to what people are telling you. There are different places to find the movers and shakers of the moment. Amazon, in particular, provides you with very valuable information in Amazon Best Sellers. Start by choosing one affiliate product to promote. Do some research for items that are HOT right now (sell what people are buying’!) Let’s go after the TOYS market. It’s a classic and recession proof market. When you arrive on the Bestsellers page, scroll down and you will see in the left sidebar the word Toys, click on it.

You will be in the Best Selling Toys section of Amazon. Here you are faced with your first business decision: what product are you going to promote? If you stay in the top five on the list, you usually can’t go wrong. If you follow this section over time like I do, you will see how it changes: • Some are long time favorites jumping from one place to another, but staying in the top 10. Some are hot trends that appear and cool down fast. Some new releases will become favorites and stay viable over time. These are great catches! This additional knowledge gained over time shapes your choices, of course. I will assume here that you don’t have that knowledge: so what parameters do you use to make your choice? There are three main parameters to go after when you don’t know anything else: Price – Mid range to high (As rule of the thumb, don’t sell cheap stuff, there is not enough profit margin). Customer satisfaction (the more stars the better). Time in the market (New releases will be easier to rank; they might fade out fast though). To make up your mind, you will have to analyze each product and sketch a list of pros and cons. Look at the product description and customer reviews to build your list.

When you know what sells, you can start your ppc campaigns with more confidence.

A Review On Onpage Optimization

To rank a website top in search engines, search engine spiders/bots would recognize the website based on the content and the On Page of the website. Reason, bots will read the source code of a website in the text format and ignores the flash and other designs. Therefore, the On Page and the content of a website will play a major role in ranking the websites top in search engines. Content is always a king and it should be unique to represent the website. On the other hand, On Page is also a king in manipulating the results delivered due to the optimization performed by the SEO Services or Internet Marketers.

Here in this article we’re discussing about the importance of the website’s On Page in improving the business returns and the whole explanation would be concentrated on making the website’s on page a king.

The importance of the on page would depend upon certain specific parameters like Keywords, Description, Titles, H1/H2 tags etc. If the stated specific parameters are efficient, the whole on page would become efficient and helps in the optimization to get the website recognized by the search engine bots to rank the website top in search engines. Therefore, information regarding the parameters is very important and the same would be discussed in detail as stated below.

Keywords:

The term keyword in reference to Search Engine Marketing usually refers to a word or a keyword phrase (combination of words) used to find relevant and useful web pages.

Due to the functionality of keyword in search engine marketing, it plays a major role in browsing the relevant information or relevant websites. Therefore, to get a website recognized by the spider and rank top in search engines, it should contain the keywords targeted or related to the website’s business. Else, the website would no way recognized by the spiders and the whole efforts in optimizing a website would become a waste. Hence, Keyword Research needs to be done to prepare a list of targeted keywords and the same would be added in the On Page of a website to rank the website top in search engines.

Description:

Description in the on page would let the spider know about the business of a website in brief to rank it for appropriate and relevant category keywords. So, the description should be a keyword rich content less than 50 words. The keyword rich content in the description would increase the keyword density to recognize and rank the website top in search engines and hence the description would be considered as one of the important parameters in on page of a website.

Title and Headers (H1, H2 etc):

Title and Headers would allow us to increase the keyword density and lets the spider know the information of the website in one shot. Though the functionality looks similar to the functionality of the Description, it plays an important role in getting the website recognized by the search engine spider. The title and header should be keyword rich and less than 60 characters.

If the above stated parameters are maintained with complete efficiency and standard, the optimized website would generate a good amount of results by ranking the website top in all major search engines.

Business Online

The best role of business online is that of interdependency. We’ve all heard the old saying, ‘No man is an island.’ When it comes to online business this is especially true.

If a business owner who takes their business into the online world determines they will be self reliant and never accept the help of anyone then that individual will not be in business long enough to change their minds.

It is accepted fact that the greatest tool for long-term exposure to your website is through Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Without it potential customers can’t find you. It is unreasonable to expect that you can adequately develop a website without optimizing your website for the best possible search engine ranking.

Search engines also place a high value on sites that have links placed on existing sites. These ‘backlinks’ demonstrate to search engines that others trust your site. By placing your link on their website these other businesses indicate a trust and recommendation for your site.

In effect the two strategies listed above rely exclusively on what others can do for you when it comes to your online business.

Shirley Temple once proclaimed in her movie Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm, ‘I’m very self-reliant.’ American westerns are filled with lines dealing with pulling yourself up by your bootstraps and holding down the fort. Many of us have grown up to believe if we want something done right we have to do it ourselves.

This thinking is in opposition to the rules associated with an online business.

The online world can only exist because people share. Individuals share technology, but the also share links, reviews, blogs, forums and a wide range of other marketing strategies that find a commingling of interdependency.

In online business you are as dependent on others as they may be on you. Unlike the word ‘dependent’, the term interdependent indicates a mutual dependency. In other words you are depending on others to help provide links back to your site while they are equally dependent on you (or others) for the success of their business.

Have you really taken a proactive approach to networking? It’s possible you are reading this today and you’ve never considered asking someone else to place a link to your site on his or her online business site.

It can feel awkward depending on others to achieve online success especially if you’ve been lead to believe reliance on others is also a sign of imposing on their otherwise brilliant generosity.

I suppose it could be a deep-seated sense of pride that makes it hard to consider the need to ask others for help. However, the truth is depending on others is really what has made the Internet possible. The growth of this online world is comprised of a link of computers, networks and servers that are connected in a way that provides the maximum benefit for all.

Building an online business can feel a bit like trying to build a house of cards. Without the ability to rely on the other ‘cards’ around you it is virtually impossible to build.

Interdependence. This is the essence of online business.
